Usim is the all-in-one research/backtesting/realtime trading platform for ubiquant. Researchers, quants, and PMs all work and corporate on this platform, using it to develop, devise, deploy, and manage their trading strategies.
Usim is designed to act in similar manners no matter she is in backtesting or realtime trding mode. That is, usim does not distinguish whether she is in backtesting or trading mode, which is what we always strive to ensure: backtesting should be as close to realtime trading as possible.
Usim is also designed to be completely modulized: each functional unit in Usim, no matter data loader, operation, alphas, metronomes, and such on, share same interfaces and could be replaced interchangeably.
